Is America the “melting pot of the world, the land of “opportunity” for all people or a nation full of angry conservatives who hate immigrants and will do anything to get them out? For years, the United States has done its best job to insure the safety of its citizens from evil. While doing this, the country has also allowed illegal immigrants from all parts of the world and given them a second chance. Is this a detriment to our country or a blessing in disguise? Many of America’s greatest minds are immigrants like Sergey Brin, Steve Chen, Jawed Karim, Albert Einstein, Arianna Huffington, and Levi Strauss are some of the many immigrants who have helped shaped America into what it is today. In fact since the 90s, more and more illegal immigrants from countries like Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, India, and even China have entered the US and the number has increased even more. On the other hand, illegal immigrants come to America with a vision of the American dream. They hear stories of the greatness of America and see that our country is truly the land of opportunity. It is not fair to deport them when most of these immigrants have lived here for decades and have settled in this country successfully. The enforcement of draconian immigration policies would be a great disservice to the US instead of allowing them in the country because it repudiates the morals that the nation was founded on and even creates a false image of hate and
