Some “sins” that he made was he has done is that he preferred the “The Golden One” his love interest in the book over his “brothers.” He was cursed in his mind for being tall and short which is not right or good where he lives. He is not allowed to have his own thoughts about something and he can not be alone according to the “law” of Anthem. On page eighteen Equality said him and his “brothers” had their names on the wrist and they all had committed a “sin” of being six feet tall and smart.

He ran away because the council of scholars denied his entry and said that he was wrong to make the light and that his creation needed to be destroyed. Equality was not okay with that and he ran away, in the uncharted forest he made so many new discoveries such as: his own reflection which he was never allowed to see at all; he ate a bird and said on page seventy-nine he said it was so wonderful and a new pride in eating. The “Golden One” followed him in to the uncharted forest with out Equality knowing and they stayed together. He was living the life and was happier than ever before. They tried to say I love you but they could not because they did not know the word I. Until they found the house with the old books from the unmentionable times which they then discovered all of the new things and the unspeakable word “I.” They were finally able to tell one another I love
