Some organizations are the Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project. Both are websites that help the LGBT youth by offering solutions and to allow them to express their feelings. The Trevor Project is a 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention for people thirteen to twenty-four. This hotline offers texts, calls, and even has a social networking site. Trained counselors are ready to help callers and they even offer support and answers for family members and friends. The Trevor Project gets roughly “45 thousand lifeline calls in a year” and “educates 22 thousand in a year” (Trevor Project). The It Gets Better Project also targets helping the youth, however it doesn’t set age restrictions. It was created after Dan Savage and Terry Miller made a YouTube video for their LGBT students after so many of them began taking their lives. Since then, September 2010, the It Gets Better project has become “a worldwide movement” with tons of videos from Obama, Anne Hathaway, Ellen DeGeneres, and much more (What is). Teens can even see other inspiring messages from around the world which shows them that they truly are not alone. This offers them a safe place to communicate if they cannot get it at home or
