According to George S. Patton Jr, “The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared.” In the Odyssey, Odysseus tries to go home, but he can’t. For years because of the challenges along the way, he is challenged and faces all of them head-on. Throughout The Odyssey, Odysseus shows he is a hero because he undertakes impossible tasks, can solve problems, and is smarter than other men.
