If you stretch before exercising it can reduce your chances of injury during exercising. It can also “increase the range of motion of muscles and joints” (Baechle, & Earle, 2008, p.1). This type of stretching is called static stretching which is the most popular (Baechle, & Earle, 2008). By stretching it warms your muscles up, this can prevent you from pulling muscles.
