The article states that young girls playing with thin dolls can be affected by the body image of a doll. It shows us a study that they have experimented the effects of playing with thin dolls on body image and also the food intake in young girls around the age of six to ten years old, Dutch girls. “Girls were randomly assigned to play with a thin doll, an average-sized doll, or Lagos in a no doll control condition. After 10 min, they participated in a taste-test and completed questionnaires about body image.” This was how they did their study to experiment and see their results.
