How does one go from numb, to feeling foreign feelings, like love? From barely talking and distant to nearly everyone, to letting a whole group of people in and becoming very close with one person of that group inparticular? This is the journey of a young girl called Tiger Lily, in the book Tiger Lily.
This story takes place on Neverland, a place you may recognize from the story of Peter Pan. the entire book is narrated by a very special faerie called Tinkerbell(Tink). This is before Wendy came to Neverland and who the lost boys are, as well as where the lost boys, mermaids, faeries and the pirates came from. Tic Tock became her parental figure and continued to be throughout most of the book. He was a shaman and a bit on the feminine side. She grew up, and as it is on Neverland you eventually just stop aging, that is when supposedly the most momentous event of your life has happened. Tiger Lily is an exotic girl that is mostly to herself. She wears two crow feathers in her hair, she is wild and most peculiar. She is better at hunting, fishing, tracking then most of the young men in her village as well as her tribe, she is also very intuitive.Throughout the book there is talk of the lost boys and how they are dangerous. The legends say these ravenous boys kill for fun, sport as well as many other unfathomable things, such as they can fly. As time passes by Tiger Lily ends up finding one when she was out on a hunt and grows close to them all, especially Peter Pan. She learns that in actuality they are all just what they are called; lost boys. They have no place but in the burrow for them to go, so they
