Tituba is a slave of Parris from Barbados. Tituba is the most powerful, even though she is thought to be lesser by most people in the town because she is a black slave woman, she still has control over the majority of the witch trials due to her knowing the truth about what happened in the forest and shifting the blame by giving specific names of people seen with the devil.
In this society, Tituba shouldn’t have any power because she is black, a slave, and unmarried.
