Traditional Bullying Vs Cyberbullying

In the dictionary cyberbullying means the act of harassing someone online by sending or posting messages, usually anonymously. However, the dictionary definition of cyberbullying left out how scary cyberbullying is for the victim. How cyberbullying might leave the victim an emotional scar or might leave the victim feeling trapped and feel the only option left for is to end their own life. It is important for people to be informed that cyberbullying is becoming an increasing threat that needs to be stopped. Unfortunately, cyberbullying is more dangerous than traditional bullying. Due to the fact, that it is more stressful and scarier to the victim to not know the identity of their attacker than it is to know it. Not only that, but traditional bullying you can escape from when you go back home. On the other hand, cyberbullying is inescapable, even in your own home, because there is access to electronics everywhere. Some people might argue by saying that the victims can turn off the electronics, but the victim is unlikely to turn off their electronics because how obsessed they are with their devices. Also, the victim will be too curious to know what everyone online is saying about them to turn off their devices. …show more content…
Not only is that thought frightening, but the idea that other people will start to bully the victim once they see what is going on, which has happened to other victims before. Additionally, if a future employer or college googles the victim they might find false information and choose to believe it. Or they might see that the victim was bullied once and not hire them or accept them into the school, because they do not want to have any connections with someone that might bring them any trouble.The information the bullies or bully post will follow the victim no matter where they
