The Civil War was one of the bloodiest wars in America, that included the Confederate and Union states. This war killed a total of about 620,000 lives, 360,222 Union soldiers, and approximately 258,000 Confederate soldiers, ranking it number one for most deadliest wars in America. This war was a tragic event that started April 12, 1861 and ended April 9, 1865. Three causes of the Civil War were slavery, states’ rights, and secession. Slavery had a major impact prior to the Civil War, this was the main cause of the bloody war.
