In Act 1 Scene 2, Romeo and Juliet had a secret meeting after they first met in the ball where they both fell in love with each other. The two lovers talked about how much they loved one another, and eventually got to the point of marriage, in one day! At the proposal Juliet stated, “ If that thy bent of love be honourable, thy purpose marriage, send me word to-morrow, by one that I'll procure to come to thee, where and what time thou wilt perform the rite; and all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay and follow thee my lord throughout the world.” She said that she would gladly marry him, as long as he was sincere and not lying to her. Juliet would be with him to the end of her days and would love Romeo forever. This however, could’ve been the end of it Romeo did not have to marry Juliet, yet at the next moment, in Act 2 Scene 5, they were married without their parents knowing. They got married by the Friar, who did not think it was a good idea, but decided to help them anyway. Upon the Friar’s words, “Come, come with me, and we will make short work; for, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone till holy church incorporate two in one.” The marriage was official, and the downward plummet to their graves hastily began. The emotions which ran rampant in those events, led to death, though unknown to them at the time. The deaths of Romeo and Juliet were caused by their ambitious love, which caused misunderstandings, leading them to die of their crazy emotions. The severe sadness that occurred once the killings had started led to the extreme measures that the two would take to try and be together, regardless of the consequences. Even before that they rushed into the marriage that that they had one day to think about it, and didn't think about the repercussions of their actions, or if they were really in love. If Romeo and Juliet had taken their time with their love, then all could have been avoided and null. Thinking the marriage through rationally, they should’ve told their parents even if they disapproved. If they told them, at least they would know not to kill the other side for it would greatly effect their only child. Also, with their fast paced love, if they had just never been swept away by the wind at appearance then they never would have gone together. Romeo and Juliet had the tragic flaw of following their emotions and leaping too rashly because of them. Despite their other flaws, that one was tragic for it led to their doom in the end. These tragic heroes can be described in the way of fruit. Something that looks juicy and sweet on the outside, but then in the inside it is sour and corrupted. This type of fruit would get thrown out based upon the unappetizing nature and flaws that it had. So whenever
