There were several issues that students experienced from the six week training program. Students from every trucking company have complaints that have been taken with dislipnary actions behind them. When there becomes a shortage of drivers due to the change of culture and new guidelines others such as companies and Department of Transportation have implemented for protection of drivers. Those guidelines have also hurt the industry because of the rigorous strain and guidelines. The training program consists of 275 hrs. Of students driving before testing out/ promoted in order of getting their own truck. Some of the trainers lack the knowledge of being able to teach students, the vital information on ways to be successful. The trainers use students as ways of making more money and, when the student finishes it becomes hard on being able to learn effectively. It seems that students must learn on their own ways of creating a system, which caters to specific requirements of the job. The 6 week program in some ways can be viewed as a haze event. The trainers have been known to mistreat students and make it difficult on completing training. The trainer will make students drivers, driver under dangerous conditions just to get a drop off to its location on time.
