As true crime is gaining more popularity in the media, it is often seen that people who witnessed the crime are meant to go back home and live their lives as if nothing happened. Learning and understanding that trauma can impact anyone in any way, shape, or form, can help the healing process, making it easy for people who were affected by the crime to handle the overwhelming emotions. The concept of using other people that surround you to manage individual emotions is beneficial.
