1. What is the difference between a. and a. Demands of the activity. On track, the highest demands of the sport are power, flexibility and anaerobic conditioning. You must be able to supply explosive power to the track using the Proper Strike Technique. You have to be flexible to prevent injury and anaerobically conditioned to have the strength to transform into power. Power is a product of speed and strength. The faster you are, the stronger you are, the more power you have. This is very important in the acceleration phase. During the acceleration phase, I need to be able to reach maximum velocity in a short amount of time by having enough power and being able to use it efficiently.

I drove out of the blocks well and was able to develop sufficient speed and hold it throughout the bend. If my start was bad, I would have been struggling to hold my form and create enough speed to get me around the bend.

Given all these examples, I can confidently say that my start is my biggest skill strength because I have seen that I have a bigger advantage in my races versus my opponents when sprinting.

4. What is the difference between a.. Fitness components weakness - Justification and impact of fitness components on performance One fitness component I have which is my weakness is flexibility. Flexibility is defined as the ability of a joint to move freely through a full range of motion without pain or discomfort. As a sprinter, I need to have good flexibility to limit the risk of injury and keep my muscles loose and flexible. Flexibility assists me in races because it aids with my sprinting form and having a good sprinting form will allow me to maintain top speed for longer in a race.

Having bad flexibility has affected my training and competitions. My muscles have had to overcompensate. This has resulted in me having acute knee pain in my left knee because it was having to compensate for the irregular use of my weaker right
