LG Corp revenue for 2012 was 143 Billion in US, this show how much LG affect our global, economic, and technological factors that are in business and workforce environments. Even though how huge their company can be that will involved with the economic crisis.

Since LG is one of major company along with Apple, and Samsung, they really depend on economic changes. How LG Corps did get affected by the economic crisis? According to Kelly, M., & MacKenzie, H. (n.d.). BUSN (Second Canadian ed., p. 45), World economies have been in crisis since 2008 some more than others long, before this economic crisis, LG Corps has already have experience the economic crisis. During 1997 Korea was hit by the IMF, during that time largest company was LG, and Samsung in Asia region. When IMF hit LG, LG was expanding their company to other products, therefore they were already low on the money. Since it was the economic crisis, LG could not make any profit from their products. They were almost forced to close down the business. As their report in 1997 said their Domestic was only 3,305 Billion units, meanwhile the oversea was 5,737 Billion units, but during that time the currency was $1=800 Won also LG were importing resources from another country and they were only selling the product for 1000 won ( Currently equal to $1). Which only lead them with left with 200 won which is 20 cents. So what LG had to do was sell the highest gross profit branch which was LG semiconductor. Lt.
