The warrior gene is a common gene mutation identified with impulsive and violent behavior. The MAOA gene is found on the x-chromosome in men. Women have two x-chromosomes and the second is believed to counteract the mutation. Because it is a gene mutation, it happens by chance and is part of one’s nature. Though it is part of their nature, the environment one is brought up in can shape the way they portray the gene. The nurture given by people in their life can make the affected person more likely to show aggressive behavior or it could impact them positively so they can control their aggression.
