Visual Learner is a person who prefers to see information and read the materials. Sometime a visual learner learn most effectively with pictures, graphs, illustrations, diagram, time lines and visual charts. When I took the Learning Style Inventory test it determined that I was a visual learner. There are some ways I prefer to learn as visual learner. The test asked me what different ways I learned information. The test showed that I need to see the information I am working with, and I need to see that information over and over again to help me remember it.
When I have homework assignments I usually will look at the instructor’s example or from textbook to get better understand of the subject. I cannot just listen to the professor’s lecture. I need to go one step forward and actually see the information the professor is talking about. For example in my basic math and algebra class, the professor will go to the board and discuss a math problem. She will discuss the math problem on the board, sometimes it sounds like she is speaking foreign language when it comes to math. However, I go to my tutors for help when I am confuse. I was introduce to the assistant to the talent director who gave me a script of one lines to read. I was nervous about being in front of the camera and possible have to learn the lines to read. I was given the lines on a piece of paper and was told to memorize the lines. As visual learner I first need to rewrite the lines on index card then keep going over and over the lines. After going over the lines repeatedly, I was able to say the lines without looking at the index card.
