“Challenge an educational system that assumes that everyone can learn the same materials in the same way and that a uniform, universal measure suffices to test student learning” (Gardner). Throughout the past couple of years, the American Education System has taken a lot of scrutiny. Many people have realized that American millennials are slowly falling behind. The reason for this is the lack of improvement in our education system. Several countries such as, South Korea and China, have begun to surpass the intelligence of American students. Among the seven are, Visual Spatial, Bodily Kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Linguistic and Logical - Mathematical. These seven characteristics help to describe and narrow down the best way of learning for each person. The first, Visual Spatial, touches upon students who can learn easily through visuals. Following that intelligence is, Bodily Kinesthetic, which are students who generally has a “keen” sense of their body awareness. Next, Musical, for those who share a deep love for art and music environments. Number four and five on the list, interpersonal and intrapersonal, highlight how one interacts with others as for one who worries about themselves. Lastly, Linguistic and mathematical, discuss the benefit of being able to use words or numbers effectively. As clearly depicted, the current education system of the United States of America lacks to acknowledge all of these intelligences. As we known, not one student shares the same types of intelligence - each in a classroom setting shares a different way of learning. The alteration of the American Education system, will impact the students themselves the most. However the ones who will truly benefit the most are the younger students. Collectively, society would also aid in the education systems new way of learning. Currently, society tears apart millennials and their ability to deal with critical situations. This ability once again, originates from the system. Once major improvements are made, society will see a whole new side of the younger generations. It will bring to become more prosperous than it is currently intended to be. The overall advancement of the Education system will certainly shed light on society and impact students
