In order to mitigate the hardship of local people in need, the city of San Jose is planning to launch "The Walk-in Spot Project." This report is to inform you about the solutions that the group has developed in forming and launching the project. The four main ideas we have identified that are important to make the project a success are the identification of subgroups of people in need, steps to find and invite them, the location and its features/services, and the prevention of the "Calling effect."

The people in need are the main purpose of this project. Therefore, it is important to know which subgroups of people we need to help such as the homeless, unemployed, very low-income locals, people under drug addiction, and the illegal immigrants.

The solutions for this are to look for the places from where they are mostly can be seen like garbage areas, streets, under the bridges, slums, and isolated areas. Volunteers will be sent to these locations to distribute flyers. Also, the billboards for street publicity and the newspaper will be used to maximize the participants that can be reached. In order to deal with this problem, it is important that this project will be successful because through this, other cities can be encouraged to do the same for their people. It is not good to reject people who are seeking help regardless of where they come from, therefore, it is better for our city to have its own local authorities that will provide support and will communicate with their counterparts from other towns and municipalities. Hence, the people in need from neighboring cities will be sent back to their home and their local authority will be waiting for them to
