Wal-mart is one of the largest retailers in the United States. Nearly every fourth person visits their nearest Wal-Mart once a week because of their low prices strategy (Roush 2006). Wal-mart was founded by Sam Walton and he is also the founder of SAM’s which is like Wal-mart but in a private setting. This gave him the idea that you can sell vegetables, pharmacy, an eye center, pets shop and fast food outlets. Wal-mart be focusing on what their rivals have and comparing it and make a better quality and version on what other retailers have. Wal-Mart also keeps a low production and operatrion in areas that are needed and discarded. They focus on the area on limit cost in advertising, low rent areas, and moderate wages to their workers. According to Fortune 500, Wal-mart revenues rose by 13.1% in 2012 which is $35.5 billion. According to Bloomberg, Wal-mart can improve their business abroad. Wal-mart is expanding their fresh food in Canada. A Fresh food expansion line allows Wal-Mart to be more in competition with retail stores. The stores in Canada are building a 125 stores starting in early March or April. This will create 7,500 construction jobs through expansion and will hire 94,000 employees with is 5% of the workforce. ExxonMobil is the largest international gas and oil company; it is an industry leading inventory of gas and oil resources. Exxon is the world’s biggest refiner and marketer of petroleum products and Exxon’s company is ranked among the worlds biggest. Over the years natural gas is influential in fueling the world’s economic growth. American people spend about $632 billion dollars a year on gas. Some of the money goes to the refiner drills that pull the oil out of the ground and transporting it all over the world. A lot of money goes to the refining oil into gasoline which in some places can turn into 4 dollars a gallon at the pump. Exxon sells about 13 billion cubic feet of gas per day and popular in major markets. Kroger is a reputable successful company
