Wal-Mart continues to grow internationally and is a well-known retail chain among consumers around the world. Continually, Wal-Mart possesses one of the best inventory control systems in the industry as well as excellent distribution channels throughout the country. Wal-Mart has a distribution warehouse no more than six hours from any store location. Additionally, they do not have to pay outside shipping companies to deliver goods to stores, saving a considerable amount of money on distribution costs. Despite Wal-Mart's strengths, the company adversely has weaknesses. One of their weaknesses is the company's alert focus on a lower price strategy that often gives the consumer a poor quality perception of their goods and services. Furthermore, consumers may view Wal-Mart as "mom and pop killers" when they put up a new superstore in a small town.
