Was It Possible To Build Great Pyramids?

Is it likely that ancient civilizations actually used their own “techniques” to move massive, many ton stones great distances to build their monuments? Did they arrange and align their temples, pyramids, and statues to interact with the sun, moon, and stars with almost exact precision by just being that smart? Was it possible for them to shape, stack, and build their monuments to near perfection with the use of primitive tools? The answers to these questions are enough to leave many unconvinced. Theories on how the pyramids were built and who built them have been quite the controversy between scientists, authors, and ordinary people, like us believers and nonbelievers, for a tremendous amount of time. Many who believe one side have their viewpoints, …show more content…
One interesting fact is that the Great Pyramid happens to be positioned in the exact center of Earth’s land mass. The crossing of the east/west and north/south parallels occur in two places on Earth, one of which is at the Great Pyramid. Alan and Sally Landsburg suggest “the only way the pyramid’s planners could have picked its central position… would have been to survey Earth from space” (Mitchell, 1990, p. 40). Also not visible in any direction but from the air, the Great Pyramid appears to have eight sides. This is due to the equal indentions made to each one of the four sides. “According to measurements, the Great Pyramid is the most accurately aligned structure in existence and faces true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error” (Petricevic, 2016, para.11). The precise alignment to true north can only be achieved by astronomical algorithms, but to determine how it’s possible for an ancient civilization to accomplish this without any aid is unbelievable. Even using today’s technology and architectural work, replicating the Pyramids would be a difficult, almost even impossible task, especially to be done in a set time period of 23
