The following things are from the novel “The Watsons Go to Birmingham” .I feel Kenny treats others nicer than Byron. Some reasons are, in chapter 3, when he first meets Rufus he shares his lunch with him. Eventually Kenny’s mom packs extra lunch for Rufus and his little brother. Kenny also does not treat people different because: on page 43, when Larry makes fun of Rufus and his brother, Kenny laughed with everyone else on the bus except Rufus and his brother. A true friend would have stood up.

When Larry had been bullying Kenny and his friend Rufus, Byron started bullying Larry, and even though Larry has been bullying Kenny and his friend Rufus, Kenny still felt bad. Kenny walked away when Larry was getting beaten up, because he
