In the uplifting film We Bought a Zoo directed by Cameron Crowe, Benjamin Mee tries to fix everything and everyone around him. Benjamin Mee feels the need to fix everything he sees is broken. IN the beginning of the movie Benjamin Mee argues with Dylan, “Well, yeah. Look, these animals need somebody to rescue them.”(Crowe XX:X) Benjamin Mee feels forced to try and fix anything he thinks is broken. Often times this is a good thing and benefits the people who he tries to help. In the case of the zoo it was a good thing as it brought the zoo back from the brink of extinction saving the many endangered species that lived there.
