The first thing that needs to be done is to select a date for the party. During this time we need to research the date that the person is retiring, and also determine what days the most people will be able to attend. This needs to be done within a 2 day span.
The second task that needs to be completed is to find a place to host the retirement party. In doing this we first need to determine how many people are expected to attend so the proper size facility can be determined. Next, we need to call around and check with the local restaurants and other facilities that host social functions and locate the best and most appropriate place to have the event. We should allow 3 days for this to be accomplished.
The third task to be done is to invite the attendees. First we need to invite the person that is retiring. We also need to invite everyone by sending out individual invites either by email or paper invitation, and also post flyers throughout the workplace. A time frame of 3 days should be allotted to ensure everyone has time to review the invites and flyers.
The fourth thing we need to do is gather the supplies for the party. We can send two people to a party supply store and two people to a grocery store to gather what is needed. We should allot 1 day for this to be done.
