Our colony governor Peter stuyvesant expanded New Netherland by taking over the closest colony which is New Sweden in 1655.The Dutch West India Company set up a patroon system to attract more settlers. A patroon is a person who would bring about 50 settlers to our colony,The New Netherland. A patroon reward would receive hunting, fishing, and fur trading privileges.
In the social system we also have slaves,but they have rights of the movement and property ownership.
