Social and economic status account for differences in opinion. While merchants and farmers may be making good pay other merchants and large farmers who depended on Great Britain may make less profit. Large political leaders saw articles badly because they worked for the national government which had no power where as politicians in state governments may favor the articles because of their power and so will congress.
This means that the states will refuse the constitution and revert to what the articles say and rule that they want a Bill of Rights and that they would not ratify the Constituion it took a very long time for all the states to ratify the Constitiution. The four laggard states were forced to and example of that would be the picture that says join or die.
