A typical homeless person would say every day is a burden. I agree. There’s nothing good in poverty. Then there are the homeless who say there is no future, no happiness, no hope. I disagree. Whilst we go through our days, we suffer. When there is suffering, there will be a blessing in the end.

Once I got here, there weren’t any around plus, the charity was closed which means I won’t be sharing any kindness today… And I’m going to have to carry this heavy load on my back. About 20 minutes after I left the charity, the pack that I carried on my shoulders began itching and hurting. It brought so much discomfort I had to carry it by hand instead. I thought that it was time to unload some weight from my pack. Maybe there’s a nearby trash can or dumpster. While searching for one, I found one huge dumpster in a dimly lit alleyway. Inside the alley was a group of punk-fashioned teenagers having fun and running their mouths like birds. There’s also a young man standing against the brick wall holding a small colorful ticket. “What are you doing..?” The man hid the ticket inside his pocket. “Oh, nothing! Would you be so kind to show me that little piece of paper of yours?” Coaxed the kid, “C’mon! I’m just interested in what ya got!” I knew what he was trying to do. Why hustle a man for something you could ask your mom to buy? The man backs away but the kid couldn’t let the ticket out of his sight. “Stop that!” The man reiterated the phrase but to no avail. The teen dug into his pocket but the man jolted him away subsequently. That’s when I heard him holler the words “Hey guys! This man has a scratch ticket and won a ten-grand!
