What to do in Weeks 1 and 2
Week 1 Notes:
Student Introduction discussion post is due on the 1st day of the term.
Week 1 discussion will require you to fully answer the question in a post within the 1st or 2nd day of the term, and to reply to 2 other students before Sunday.
Textbook chapters may be available online in your syllabus.
Make time to visit each class on day 1 and meet your classmates in the Student Introductions discussion. Week 1: TERM START day

Your courses open at 12:00 am on the date of term start
Read the Syllabus, Getting Started, and Faculty Announcements
Check your textbook against the Syllabus; does the course provide digital content for 2 weeks of readings?
Write your Student Introduction Discussion post. Click “Reply” to the introduction instructions, and add your post to the Discussion Board.
Write and submit Weekly Discussion initial post by 11:59 pm MT on term start day. Click “Quote” to include the discussion instructions in your post.

Locate faculty office hours and contact information
Check faculty announcements for special due dates or deadlines regarding Week 1 tasks
Work on Week 1 tasks, lecture, and readings
Write and submit Weekly Discussion reply posts (reply to 2 students minimum) by 11:59 pm MT on Sunday. Click “Quote” to include the original student’s post in your reply.
Complete and submit assignments (if any) for Week 1
Complete and submit quizzes (if any) for Week 1

Weeks 2-9 Notes:
Weeks 2 through 9 begin on Mondays and end on Sundays.
Attendance means submitting a gradable item to MyPATH.
Therefore, submitting an initial post to the weekly discussion topic shows your attendance and meets the first deadline of each week.
Make time in your schedule for discussions early in the week!
Week
