“Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth” claimed by the greatest and most historic founding father in our vast country's history. Understandably, America would be immensely different if George Washington had not present to build the basis for what we are today. If our first president of the United States, wasn’t the first, how would everything have played out? He was the poster child, the mold for what is to come. Since the beginning, and before the beginning, George Washington has been the father of our country, even before we were established. His accomplishments are uncomparable to the rest of the founding fathers, mainly do to his credentials and lifetime experiences, putting his rank further up the list of importance. …show more content…
As the start of the new government system was forming, Washington had to make hundreds of choices, not to benefit himself, but to benefit the entire country's population. The american citizens were now his responsibility and his main priority in the terms of caring for them, acting as their spokesperson, and learning how to manage everything from the major debt america faces, foreign affairs, waging wars and enemies, all while protecting his own people. George Washington reeked an “aura of omnipotence” as Ellis describes, which was revolutionary at the time, his qualities of having great power naturally conducted him as a leader. He only ever contributed strength, wise decisions and integrity while in the position of the Presidency, while his body’s resentment towards sickness and injury was so phenomenal his reputation overall gaines mythological and very god-like appearance to the general public. With Washington's face already plastered all over America, his supremacy acknowledged by Benjamin Franklin, only confirmed his credentials and what role he would play in America’s history. In summation, Washington possibly had the hardest job, not in only the country, but in the world. The US was a developing nation, on a crash course, and George Washington was along for the long haul. He received the greatest honor of being able to mold the basis for his founded country, which vastly shaped the decisions he made for the greater good of the people. If Washington had not made the decisions he made for this country, how different would our lives be
