True to American history, in 1776, there is mention of Jefferson crossing out the anti-slavery chamber and claus himself. This was after two separate parties stepped up to tell him he wouldn’t get the votes without its removal. While prior to the creation of the Declaration of Independence, the Bradley explains that the continental congress had already adopted resolutions against the slave trade throughout 1774 to 1776. However, those acts created increased tension with the South and created a greater separation between states. Unfortunately, these acts were never mentioned in 1776.
