The society that is depicted in the film lacks cohesion between cultural groups, and that results in disasters. With regards to Farhad's character, there is a lack of connection between his culture, Persian-Americans, and that of the white gun store owner along with Daniel's Mexican-American culture. In both of Farhad's interactions with these characters, the results are of violent nature; Farhad's store gets vandalized and destroyed, presumably by the gun store owner, and Daniel's family is put in danger by Farhad's anger. It is as if there is a cycle between these acts of discrimination.
These scenes from Crash portray what can happen to a society when there is no effort put forth to build and then manage a community. This leads to further division among different cultural groups, which is not healthy for a society that needs to function. The lack of connectedness between groups causes strain and violence on everyone. I believe Farhad showed this pattern precisely throughout the movie, and his struggles and end result can be learned
