“We the jury find George Zimmerman not guilty.” These were the last words said before a presumably guilty man walked away a free man. Although he admitted to shooting and killing Trayvon Martin why would a jury that had three options choose the one that had no consequences? In my opinion I think that George Zimmerman should have been founded guilty. Even though Zimmerman claims he did not shoot and kill Trayvon Martin out of hate why did he decide to pursue following him when the 911 operator clearly said not to? This leads to the question that if George Zimmerman listened to these instructions would we find out that Trayvon Martin was innocent and that his loved ones would not be mourning over his death. The main question I have is why did Zimmerman approach him if the police were on their way and he was safely locked in his car? To me the explanation is clear, George Zimmerman approached him with a feeling that he was armed and killed Trayvon Martin because he was simply African American. As shown on the Fox News website Zimmerman has had seven other criminal charges and four of them dealing with domestic violence. He has also had a road rage incident regarding the Trayvon Martin case that ended up in the other person shooting at him later on. When looking at his past that reoccurs with similar situations why wouldn’t he be charged with at least something?
