There is an endless amount of social issues that are occurring in the current world. Abortion has always caused uproar relating to its morality and in general, whether it should be legal or not. Democrats and Republicans both have a huge differ in opinion on their stance with abortion. Not only the stances from political parties, but gender and generation gaps play an essential role in the conflict regarding this issue. Unlike, other social issues, both opinions have strong cases built against the other. The central concern in this conflict revolves around social norms and values. In the past, being a mother was much more of a normal circumstance in society, it was typically a women’s destiny. Abortion was illegal, and many women gave birth, whether it was planned or not. The article talks about how this norm was put into many men and women’s mind that abortion was wrong and if found pregnant, a woman must proceed with the pregnancy. According to the article, Support For Issues Of The Women's Movement In The United States, in today’s society, women are finding their voices through the women’s movement and are becoming stronger social forces than ever before (Astle & Dodder 111). These women advocate for the pro-choice side for many reasons. Some of
