I think that GMO’s are bad. I think that GMO’s are bad because they affect plants, animals, or food, and artificially manipulate them. Also I think that GMO’s are bad because they can cause health problems, and lastly, because GMOs harm the environment. Some may think that GMO’s don’t affect you or don’t need to be watched. But it causes more problems to your body and health than you think.

To start off I think that GMO’s are bad because they artificially manipulate things like food, plants and animals. GMO’s can affect food and those foods can cause things like birth defects. According to Andres Carrasco, Glyphosate at the head of the molecular Embryology Lab at the University of Buenos Aires, GMO " is responsible for causing birth defects, infertility, sperm destruction, and cancer.” Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the herbicide RoundUp. Glyphosate is used to kill weeds, and grasses that compete with crops to survive. Glyphosate is bad because it toxic, and it is a herbicide. Herbicide is similar to a pesticide, and can be very harmful to humans. According to LiveStrong.com, “ Although many modern herbicides are less toxic than their predecessors, they are still poisons and should always be handled with caution.” This shows how GMO’s can cause …show more content…
According to article, Organic Authority, “ Genetically engineered foods have not been shown to be safe to eat and may have unpredictable consequences.” One big consequence of GMO’s is gluten disorders. According to the newsmax article, “ Based on a clinical experience, when we remove genetically modified foods as part of the treatment for gluten sensitivity, recovery is faster and more complete. I believe that GMOs in our diet contribute to the rise in gluten sensitivity in the U.S. population." This shows how GMO’s are scientifically proven to be very unhealthy for us to eat and can in some cases cause unpredictable health
