There are many ways you can spread propaganda, but the most commonly used ways ,by the Nazis were through books, posters, and film. The Nazis regulated every piece of information that was seen by the public, making it hard to find anything that perceived them as killers, infact author for the Jewish Virtual Library, Robert Wistrich, claims that the Nazis would burn any book that opposed their ideas or any book that was written by Jewish authors. The sessions in which this destruction took place were known as “Book Burnings.” Many great works of literature were lost as a result of these burnings, but were soon replaced by Nazi books, such as The Poisonous Mushroom or Trust No Fox. These books instilled the basic Nazi ideas into the minds of their young readers. In addition to laying out Nazi ideas many of these books also, pointed out the wrongdoings of Jewish families. As these books grew in popularity with the younger generation, the Nazis soon started to promote the Hitler Youth Program. Using posters the Nazis would promote this program designed for kids who would later want to join the Nazi party.
