Dear parents and readers,

Guns are the most dangerous thing for children to have. So, do you think teens should have them? In my opinion, teens should have access to guns because they can cause murder or suicide. Also, they can hurt themselves, other people, and their brains are not fully developed!

Guns are very high-risk. Teens have the ability to hurt themselves! In the article on hsph.harvard.edu, it says, ”Victims using a gun are no less likely to be injured after taking protective action than victims using other forms of protective action.” This quote explains how even when teens are trying to protect themselves, they are only hurting them. Instead of using guns, they can use other forms of protection. In addition, according to everytownresearch.org, nearly 4,000 children and teens were shot and killed. Sadly, 4,000 children is a lot. Imagine how many children are killed around the world? See how guns are making an impact on teens? However, they are not only hurting themselves, but other people too! …show more content…
“There have been more than 49 mass shootings in 2024 so far.” ABC News stated. This evidence proves that guns are a huge problem in our world. This detail also shows how many people have tried to hurt other people. Most of these mass shootings have taken place at schools or homes. Plus, teens are mainly involved in the shootings. Then, everytownresearch.org said that an estimated three million children witness a shooting each year. This evidence supports my claim by explaining how guns have had a huge impact on our world!
