Which at this point the reader can somewhat relate to how wanting revenge can drive you crazy. Shakespeare shows how revenge can also cause anger and recklessness rather than rationalizing etc. In the book Hamlet the majority of characters seek revenge, but they all rely on emotion rather than thought. Showing the reader how revenge can cause a significant amount of problems. Saying how one thing leads to another when acting based on emotion and not actually thinking about what’s actually going on. In the book Hamlet you see a very good example of how emotion affects the characters. Causing them to take a chance that will eventually lead to the down fall and death of all of them except one. Shakespeare shows the reader an example of how revenge can sometimes strongly affect you in the long run. Revenge can tend to distract you as a person and can literally get the upper hand. After seeing how the first part of revenge plays out. This sets up the middle structure of the play. One important thing that is played out in all revenge plays is that once revenge is decided upon the hero waits till the end of the play to take action. In the book Hamlet this is certainly true.
