However, during the Classical period (480-323 BCE), the Greeks started to ask questions and seek answers about the world around them, which had never been seen in any other cultures before. Also, the idea of human’s capacity to understand and control themselves in term of society was also grown among the Greeks. In the fourteenth century as known as the start of Renaissance period, many European intellectuals began to question the religious and the after-life ideas as well as developed new attitudes about themselves and the world. So, humanism was said to be the reason lead to Renaissance. Humanism changed the way people think about themselves in their lives; instead of spending their whole lives to focus on either heaven or hell and religion, humanism was an idea that made people focus on themselves and their lives in this world.
