As college graduates walk across the stage to receive their diplomas and pursue a career in the workforce, they are stepping into a whole different life. Going to college and getting a degree is a goal for many students, and getting an education is what people strive for. What they don’t know is the amount of debt their college expenses may put them into and it may not be necessary to get a job.
“I don’t ever consider additional education a waste of time, but I don’t think a four year degree is necessary for everyone,” said Mrs. Tamah DePriest, Preparing for College and Careers teacher.
Many jobs require a college degree, but there is a list that do not, such as: detectives, criminal investigators, commercial pilots, farmers, ranchers, other agricultural managers and many others according, to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

She now host her own show, “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” and is the voice of Dory, in “Finding Nemo.” Leonardo DiCaprio dropped out of high school his junior year, but years later eventually earned his GED. DiCaprio planned on attending college, but he never quite reached that goal. Multiple others that never went to college, or dropped out are still successful people.
Do not think that you have to be famous to be successful, that is not always the case. Many adults can still make average salary without attending college. Many factory jobs do not require a college education, and can even have a higher salary that some jobs that do require
