Many people think that Japan attacked America for no apparent reason, but some sources say that President Roosevelt provoked and let the bombing happen so that he had an excuse to get involved in the war. This put an end to Germany’s assault. Multiple other sources state the main cause was Japan’s need for resources and that America’s naval repositioning to Pearl Harbor from California was a threat and an act of war towards Japan. Altogether there are many possibilities as to why the bombing happened, and it remained a mystery.
