Second, it will result in societal safety. For instance, In the fall of 1998, a school district in Fayette County moved their start times from 8 to 9 a.m., students averaged to get 50 more minutes of sleep. They were less tired and the crash rate of teens went down by 68% (Source 2). Since teens will not be driving sleepy, not only will the teens be safer on the road, but others too. Last, the number one killer of teens will be lessened. For example, the sleepiness of teens results in accidents, sometimes killing teens and the other driver (Source 4). Since most high school students drive themselves, and sometimes others, to school, it would help to start school later and keep all drivers safe. Therefore, school starting later will be a societal
