So this is about Habitat Management, the most important part in managing and providing land for the wildlife to live on and for us to watch the wildlife or go hunting. The first step to Habitat management is not polluting the land. A lot of people have no respect and don't care so they'll leave their trash and dump oil and other things like that that will pollute the land and in turn kill all the plants and animals that inhabit that area. Commonly birds and rabbits can be found with trash and other items in their stomachs. With all the pollution it kills all the vegetation so the animals have nothing to eat and the soil isn't good for growing anything. Another common thing that ruins habitats and the animals is urbanization, with the growing population of modern America we take away more open land and wildlife habitats so we can build homes and shopping centers, now there are some areas reserved for nature and wildlife where the government doesn't allow anything like that to happen but there is so many beautiful places across the country that people have lived forever and now across the road are factories and all these buildings that just ruin the natural beauty and wildlife around. A main focus should be to keep certain areas of land free for just the wildlife, to do this people need to donate and volunteer to help keep the land healthy and pollution free, they can help plant …show more content…
To start off with we must be able to know the populations of animals in certain counties for example in some counties you can harvest two deer and some are three. The biggest problem in North America hunting is poaching, so a main focus of every state's Department Of Natural Resources and Fish and Game is to stop poachers before they can kill game or make them pay consequences and make sure they don't do it again. There are organizations that will actually pay you a reward if you turn in a poacher or give them information to catch one. Many officers take poaching seriously and will often do stake outs in known poaching spots the officers will hide around the woods with one officer in a vehicle on each side of the road so the poacher can't get away and they will put a fake deer out there usually a big buck to entice the poacher to stop and shoot so they can catch him in the act. Another reason for hunting seasons is to regulate the populations of animals you make the number of animals able to be harvested equal to what you want the population to be to become healthy. To do this we must know the population and take into count the number of deer that will be hit by cars die of natural causes or killed by predators, and as you can guess this is no easy job with never being able to know the exact number of deer that will fall to those
