Lord of the Flies is a book of many aspects. It is a both an allegorical novel, and a great tale of extraordinary adventure. Lord of the Flies is an allegorical novel based on the events of World War II. A Man named William Golding to show how, deep within all us, is the presence of evil. The book is about a group of boys, around twelve years of age, being stuck on a deserted island. With no adults on the island with them. They have to care for themselves and gather food and fresh water. On the island, they attempt to make a system of government, but it falls apart all too quick. The government they attempt create is a sort of democracy. They voted for Ralph as their chief, and at all their meetings they use the conch to organize conversations.
