Winston Churchill was appointed First Lord of the Admiralty in 1939 when Britain declared war on Germany. In 1940 He became chairmen of the Military Coordinating Committee. Winston Churchill kept the Nazi invasion away as long as he could. Eventually they overpowered most of the world.
