Almost two decades after the First World War, the Second World War began in 1939 and brought one of the biggest and deadliest wars in history. This war, spanning over 6 continents brought millions upon millions of military and civilian deaths across the world. Not only did this war include militaries all over the world, it included regular civilians, business and services from everywhere. Everyone everywhere was affected somehow by the impact the war brought and was devastated in one way or another. World War 2 is now known as one of the worst wars in history. This war began because of Germany’s unprovoked attack on Poland. As Adolf Hitler became the leader of Nazi Germany his main goal was to become the greatest world power and to create the most powerful empire ever known. He did this through eliminating everyone and anyone who he viewed as inferior and invading other countries to take over their land and resources. This effort turned into the Holocaust where he killed many Jewish people, Roman Catholics, gypsies, homosexuals, and the mentally and physically disabled. As the war began Poland was one of Germany’s first targeted countries because they were looked at as an easy target and easily defeat able. When this occurred, France and Great Brittan declared war on Germany in efforts to stop the invasions. Hitler was insane for starting this world war and insane for brining death upon many innocent people because of his crude and disgusting beliefs. Initially the beginning of the war involved Germany and neighboring countries they invaded. America wanted to remain neutral in the global war but helped Great Brittan, China, and the Soviet Union with war material and other resources they needed. America couldn’t stand by and not help countries in need especially when we knew we had the power to do so. America was brought into the war because of the deep set hate between the Japanese and the Americans. There were many ongoing conflicts that existed between the United States and Japan. On December 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed the American fleet in Pearl Harbor resulting in the damage and sinking of 18 warships, many aircrafts and the deaths of over 2000 Americans. This gave the United States no choice but to enter war. Up until this point, the United States and former president Truman had prepared for war in case they had to go. Many people wanted to go to war and there was actually only one person in senate who opposed going to war, but that did not stop the decision from happening. Millions of Americans were trained and weapons and military equipment were made and stocked up on. With that Boats, aircrafts and bombs were made and ready in case they decided to enter the war. The United States was not
