Before I reflect on the relation between worldview and communication, firstly it is important to define what a worldview is. Typically a worldview is defined as “a set of operative assumptions that undergird everything we think, say, and do” (Moreau et al. 55). This means that the assumptions we unconsciously have will influence not only the way we process information but also how we use that information in our lives. Now, how do worldviews affect communication? Well, if our worldview determines the way we see and understand the world, and also how we use the information we receive throughout our daily interactions, it is safe to say that our worldview will affect the feedback we may provide in a conversation and how we perceive the people we are talking
