Many, if not all of them had positive things to identify with in a relationship like trust, honesty, passion, and commitment. However, the conversation went in the appositive direction when we started to explore the idea of commitment and jealousy. One group member was accused of having an affair with another group member’s boyfriend. As the facilitator, I think I had to step in and address the issue of trust because at the moment I think each member needed to know where trust started and that is with ourselves, and as stated earlier trust was one of the characteristic of having a healthy relationship. I had to keep calm composure and let each group member know that their opinion was equally important as I address the issue on trust. However, Dr. Heidi I was happy that you highlighted that I could have viewed this issue from a different angle as to why women protect men who hurt them and why women tend to tear each other apart when this happen.
