In some countries every young person must serve in the military. In our world today we are pushed to realize that there are different types of people in this world. That being said, different people have different limits and different dreams. So if everyone had to serve you wouldn't only be forcing PTSD on young people it could be destroying their dreams and future occupation. Also if you force young people or anyone for that matter, to do something they don't want to do they are not going to put in any effort, so it could be dangerous as well. So when you give people the decision to join up you should have confidence in knowing you have people who are there to fight as hard as they possibly can for their country. Some people are not strong enough or built for the requirements needed to serve in the military. Not only do some people not have the physical needs to take place in war some don't have the mind power. If every young person has to serve that means once they graduate and before they begin their lives they have to take place in war. That is not healthy for any mind, but some people can take more violence than others, it may be a little harder on young peoples minds then it is on some older peoples.
However war is war, it is hard on everyone but people sign up for that, don't force people into it. I however see it as murder if you force people into war, because if you are in a war zone you are going to fight to survive, although you fight many don't make it. If you force people into war and they die fighting, then you just ripped their whole life from them. So if the young adult is done with the military and served his or her time, and they want to continue a somewhat normal life and move on to different things, that would be extremely hard for someone with ptsd. Since they can not control what triggers their mind to do these crazy things it could be extremely hard to function.
Lastly, in my experience with children and being a child myself if you force someone especially a child to do something they don't want to do, they will not put any effort into it. Take homework for example, if it is a Friday and a teacher gives a child or young adult homework, they will either come up with an excuse not to do it, or scribble some words down and take the bad grade. Where as someone who is dedicated to school and getting good grades they will try hard and get good grades. However school is very different from war, but the same rule applies, if you take someone who doesn't want to be there, into war they might only protect themselves. It is their duty to protect others that are running head first into battle with them. Mostly when you are being attacked the human instinct is to protect yourself
