Pachuco is henry's “alter ego” and tends to control henry's actions by acting confident in his choices as well as being the embodiment of racial prejudice towards chicanoes and pachucos. Allot of people will just stereotype everyone of that race like pachuco. For example most african americans are defined by playing loud music and being in gangs, which isn't true there just people like you, no one should be defined like that but they are and there is nothing we can do about it.
Another character that would be like pachuco is non other than henry. Henry stands as an example of public assumption with him getting in a little trouble with the law but not it being all his fault, and his being known as “ Hank reya! The snarling juvenile delinquent. The zoot suiter. The bitter young pachuco gang leader of the 38th street.” stated on pg. 29; just because he's hispanic means he’s a criminal right? No
In conclusion zoot suit represents racial prejudice by making certain characters represent public assumption and stereotypical terms and put them in a situation that relates to the real world like “henry being a criminal”. It also sends a message by stating how looks can represent a whole group of people and how to base off of
